Chronology of FHS Generations
Since 1948, the Framingham Heart Study (FHS) has been a pioneering force in unraveling the mysteries of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and their impact on public health. Starting from 1976, it began tracking participants for incident dementia. In 2020, BUMC received an NIA grant (U19) to establish the FHS Brain Aging Program (FHS-BAP), led by Dr. Lindsay Farrer and Dr. Rhoda Au, which focusing on Brain Health in FHS.
